My stay was quite enjoyable, especially with how easy it was to walk to the city center and explore charming spots like the beautiful Rowntree Park just over 1 km away, and I loved that it was only about 500 meters to the famous York City Walls. the room was bright and comfortable with a great bar area to unwind after all my city strolls.

The bar and restaurant really hit the spot—delicious cheese sandwiches and a cozy vibe. Plus, the location had us strolling to local gems like Atithi for some spicy Indian flavors!

While we expected to dive into the pool, we faced a not-so-great surprise of it being out of order. Also, the central heating pipes decided to join the party, making our night less than chill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay. The kids loved their little welcome toys! The room was spacious, equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast was superb with endless choices. Make sure to explore nearby attractions, as everything is a pleasant walk away!

The bed was super comfy, making it hard to leave! The location is perfect for exploring downtown. However, the air conditioning wasn’t great, leaving the room a bit dry. 😊

The staff really stood out. they were friendly and attentive, checking on us shortly after we got to our room. Breakfast was decent, and the bar area felt cozy and welcoming. I also appreciated the hotel’s location, just a short walk from the city center. However, I had some issues with the room. The shower pressure could’ve been better. Additionally, the coffee maker instructions were unclear, and I faced confusion about room service ordering. The pool being closed for renovations was disappointing. Parking fees were surprisingly high too. For the price, I expected a bit more polish in the room details, like updated carpets and linens. Still, I would consider returning once renovations are complete.

The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the Barbican, making it convenient for our plans. The room was spacious with a comfy sofa, which was a nice addition. However, there were several issues that impacted my stay. The air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room a bit too warm. The lift situation was frustrating since only one was operating, and the staircase looked worn out. I also faced slow service in the restaurant and even sat at a wet seat at one point. It seemed like the hotel was still undergoing renovations after three years, which was disappointing since this was my second visit.
